Becoming a member

Joining couldn’t be easier, to apply for membership of Chesterfield and North East Derbyshire Credit Union you will need to complete our Membership Application form, then simply call in to our office where you will be greeted by one of our friendly and experienced volunteers.

All new members joining the Credit Union set up a Membership Account. Each member is given a unique membership number.

You will need to bring three separate documents

You will need to bring with you three documents to confirm your identity

Proof of name:

• Valid passport
  
• Birth certificate
  
• Full Driving License
  
• Marriage certificate

Confirmation of address:

• Recent utility bill
  
• Recent bank statement
  
• Benefits book
  
• Council rent card
  
• Medical card

Copy of your signature:

• Back of a bank card
  
• Full Driving License
  
• Valid passport

If you don’t live within in the Chesterfield Borough Council or North East Derbyshire District Council Boundaries you will also need a document to prove you work, volunteer or study in the area. Don’t worry if you don’t have these documents. Talk to our helpful staff about the sort of document you can provide.
